Council President Cameron Emond opened the Council Meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance.

The October 7, 2025 Council Meeting minutes, October 1, 2025 Executive Meeting minutes, October 6, 2025 Executive Meeting minutes, and October 17, 2025 Executive Meeting minutes were presented for approval. Council member Janet Gross made a motion to approve the minutes. Council Vice President Betty Hoster second the motion. Motion carried 5-0.

Town Marshal/Street Commissioner, Jared Baer, reported that he took a tour of the Wastewater Plant and has a few safety concerns. Jared also reported that the water plant and town hall have all been re-keyed. Kilo is continuing to heal from his surgery, and will be getting back to training soon.

Betty Hoster, Area Plan representative, announced that the White County Commissioners approved for a fence to be placed around the White County recycling bin, in Wolcott.

Jared Baer told the Council that Demotte Carpet will be coming to give an estimate on replacing the carpet in the Town Hall and Police Department.

Steve Young, Ambulance Director, requested that the Council consider raising the base rate of their Ambulance charges by $200. After some discussion, the Council decided to raise the base rate charge to $650 and the milage to $13.86. Clerk Treasurer Karie Holder will make an ordinance with these changes for the next meeting. Steve also notified the Council that he is looking for some grants to help purchase a powered CPR machine.

Kenneth Burns, fire chief, announced that the White County burn ban has been lifted. The fire department has finished up Fire Prevention Week at the schools.

Council President Cameron Emond shared an email that was sent by Ken Smith, with street prices for thew next round of the Community Crossing Grant.

Sandy Miller, Remington Wolcott Community Development Committee, stated that the Senior Cafe is going well. The Senior Café takes place on the third Wednesday of every month.

Clerk Treasurer Karie Holder presented the Council with the APV Register for approval. Council member Michael Johnson made a motion to approve the APV register. Council Vice President Betty Hoster second the motion. Motion carried 5-0. Karie then presented the Council with an estimate from WW Williams to service our generators for $5380.00. WW Williams has also requested that the town consider signing a two-year contract with their company to service our generators for the next two years. After much discussion, the Council decided against signing a two-year contract. Council Vice President Betty Hoster made a motion to accept the estimate from WW Williams to service the generators in 2025.

Council President Cameron Emond announced that he would like to continue working on getting the alleys in town graveled.

Town Marsh al Jared Bared notified the Council that the generator still has not sold.

Ordinance 2025-1021 for the Street Commissioner position was presented for approval. Council member Michael Johnson made a motion to approve the ordinance. Council Vice President Betty Hoster second the motion. Motion carried 5-0.

Salary Ordinance Amendment 2025-1021B was presented for approval. Council Vice President Betty Hoster made a motion to approve the ordinance amendment. Council member Chris Dye second the motion. Motion carried 5-0.

Transfer Resolution 2025-1021C was presented for approval. Council member Michael Johnson made a motion to approve the resolution. Council Member Janet Gross second the motion. Motion carried 5-0.

Jared Baer announced that there will be a Wastewater meeting with IDEM and Egglife regarding issues with Egglife’s quality of waste that they are sending to the Town’s Wastewater Plant. Jared stated that he would try to get ahold of Town Attorney Jacon Ahler, to request his presence at the meeting.
