Council President Michael Johnson opened the Public Hearing with the Pledge to the flag.
Robert Bellucci announced that he had a conference call with Baker Tilly regarding the Wastewater Treatment Plant. He stated that Baker Tilly will be finalizing their analysis this month based on the bid that was received.
Council President Michael Johnson announced the termination of Michael Powell. Town Attorney Jacob Ahler stated that Michael Powell is entitled to a public hearing. The public hearing, requested by Michael Powell, will take place on Thursday December 17, 2020 at 6pm.
Council President Michael Johnson called for the approval of the November 2020 minutes. Council Vice President Cameron Emond made a motion to approve the November minutes. Council Member Darwin Miller second the motion. Motion Carried 4-0.
Council President Michael Johnson read a report given to him by Sandy Miller of RWCDC. The report stated that the Winter Wonderland festival will be canceled this year due to rising Covid-19 cases.
Karen Evans of White County Economic Development, reported that road 1100 is now open.
George Blissett of Mainstreet, reported that the electronic sign should arrive the first or second week of December.
Clerk Treasurer Pamela Bennett reported that the new windows for the Town Hall will be installed at the end of December.
Joe Rogers reported the consolidation of properties for the People?s Feed Mill that will be taking place. Council Vice President Cameron Emond made a motion to approve the consolidation. Council Member Jerry Lietz second the motion. Motion carried 4-0.
Council President Michael Johnson proposed the renewal of Jacob Ahler?s contract. Council Member Darwin Miller made a motion to renew Jacob?s contract. Council member Jerry Lietz second the motion. Motion carried 4-0.
Council President Michael Johnson read Resolution 2020-13. Council member Jerry Lietz made a motion to approve Resolution 2020-13. Council Vice President Cameron Emond second the motion. Motion passed 4-0. Council President Michael Johnson read Resolution 2020-14. Council Vice President Cameron Emond made a motion to approve Resolution 2020-14. Council Member Darwin Miller second the motion. Motion passed 4-0. Council Vice President Michael Johnson read Resolution 2020-15. Council President Michael Johnson read a letter from the Wolcott Sorority for the Angel Tree program, to help families in need. The sorority is asking for donations for the program for the families. Council Vice President Cameron Emond made a motion to donate $500. Council Member Darwin Miller second the motion. Motion carried 4-0.
Robert Bellucci reported that the materials for second street have been ordered and should be in any day. Rob also requested that the Council make a motion to accept the lowest bid for the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Council Vice President Cameron Emond made a motion to accept the low bid. Council Member Darwin Miller second the motion. Motion carried 4-0.
Council Member Darwin Miller announced that the leaf vac is broken, so the leaves are not getting picked up around town. It will hopefully be getting fixed soon.
