Other: Daryl Orns, Steve Young, Janell Hofstetter, Ken Smith, and Kenneth Burns.

Council President Cameron Emond opened the Council Meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance.

A Public Hearing was opened for the approval of Ordinance 2025-06-03 to create an additional appropriation, for the purpose of purchasing a new ambulance. Council Member Janet Gross made a motion to approve Ordinance 2025-06-03. Council Darwin Miller second the motion. Motion carried 5-0.

The Public Hearing was closed and the Council Meeting was opened.

The May 20, 2025 Council meeting minutes were presented for approval. Council Vice President Betty Hoster made a motion to approve the minutes. Council Member Michael Johnson second the motion. Motion carried 5-0.

The May 20th – June 3rd financials were presented for approval. Council member Michael Johnson made a motion to approve the financials. Council Vice President Betty Hoster second the motion. Motion carried 5-0.

Clerk treasurer Karie Holder presented the Princeton Township and West Point Township ambulance contracts for approval. Council Vice President Betty Hoster made a motion to approve the contracts. Council member Janet Gross second the motion. Motion carried 5-0. Karie also presented a loan for $100,000 from the water checking account, to be transferred to the wastewater checking account. Council Member Michael Johnson made a motion to approve the loan from water to wastewater. Council Vice President Betty Hoster second the motion. Motion carried 5-0.

White County Surveyor, Brad Ward, will be holding a meeting at the Wolcott Town Hall on Wednesday June 18th, to discuss a new ditch project.

Wastewater Superintendent Jeff Province will be having a meeting with Ken Smith and a contractor, regarding the new water plant at the Wastewater Plant.

Water Superintendent Justin Bowman announced that he has fixed several water leaks around town, and has fixed a few meters.

Council Vice President Betty Hoster expressed concern over having one employee running the woodchipper without another employee present. Betty instructed the town employees to make sure that another employee is present before running the wood chipper.

Town Marshal Jared Baer stated that he has sent out a few abatement letters, regarding junk vehicles in town. The Police Department door has been repaired, and the building has been rekeyed.

Ambulance Director, Steve Young, announced that the new ambulance will be ready to pick up, at the beginning of July.

Ken Smith, Town engineer, announced that the Community Crossing Grant project is finished.

Janet Gross, KIRPC representative, announced that White County will, hopefully, get a Head Start Program.

Michael Johnson, White County Economic Development representative, stated that he attended a networking event for the county.

Janell Hostetter, Mainstreet Committee, reported the success of a few events that they had going on in the last month. The Mainstreet Committee will be hosting a Bobby the Wonder dog Festival on June 28th.
